Gen Urobuchi Pulls Street Fighter's Shōryūken at Madoka Magica Café

Puella Magi Madoka Magica scriptwriter Gen Urobuchi posted a message on his Twitter account on Monday that included a picture of himself punching the plot-twist form of the Madoka Magica character Charlotte the Dessert Witch (pictured at right). Urobuchi wrote in the Twitter post he was performing the "Shōryūken" fighting move from the Street Fighter video game franchise. Urobuchi also wrote in the post that Charlotte "has no chance at succeeding."

The picture of Urobuchi was taken at the limited-time Madoka Magica Café revamp of the Good Smile Café in the city of Matsudo in Chiba Prefecture, which opened on May 3. The café was originally scheduled to last until July 18, but Good Smile Company has extended the café until August 14. The café has been serving a dessert in the shape of Charlotte, along with a Kyubey curry plate. Urobuchi also posted a picture of the Kyubey curry plate from his visit to the café, which accompanied a post stating "My heart's desire has come true!"
