Sentai Filmworks Adds Zettai Karen Children Anime

Sentai Filmworks announced on Monday that it licensed the Zettai Karen Children television anime series under the name Psychic Squad. The company will release the series digitally and on subtitled DVD later this year.
The 52-episode series adapts Takashi Shiina's Zettai Karen Children manga. Directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Mayo Chiki!, Princess Resurrection) and animated by Synergy SP, the story follows a unique special-operations unit — three ten-year-old girls with paranormal powers and the hapless lieutenant who must supervise/babysit them. The series also inspired an original video anime adaptation in 2010.
