It sometimes seems that the main difference between Japan and the US is we have Furries, they have 2D complex with lolicon.

Why the heck would I want to rape Hitler?

And no, I wouldn't want to rape Hitler-chan either. She's a young girl, and I'm no Lolicon.
I know. Same with me. I know some people out there are probably screwed up enough though.

No, no, no. Moe-ified Hiroshima and Nagasaki citizens, with that cute moe look on their faces (that makes ya wanna give them a hug) as they're seeing moe Little Boy and moe Fat Man drop on them. If Japan does that, they'd get major props. Razz

I agree. The West likes to pretend we are without sin and are better than the 'crazy' Japanese. We make fun of everything under the sun and in the darkest shadows, yet when the Japanese do it, we look down on them.

I'm not sure the Japanese are really making fun of them in a negative sort of way.................

Does Obama x Hilary count? Hilary Clinton-chan is pretty cure.

Oh, we know about this!

And of course Bush already got his bush (NSFW)! Laughing

I'm sure only [ditch the insults or don't [post] could get wound up over something like this, which is obviously a gag of some sort.

And the world does not want to read pages of people without a sense of humour, go squick over some gag they don't get, because they don't have a sense of humour. If people disagree with something, fine, but people are giving moral lectures to others just for laughing at something they found funny. FFS. Rolling Eyes

Protip: Don't get blasted before you post on a forum, because the beginning of that second paragraph of yours was pure word salad.

Well, someone named enurtsol had posted a thing from an erotic manga that had President Obama and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. I'm not going to get too upset over it. It looks silly to me and I'm not going to waste too much time on it.
As for faintsmile1992,his comment is probably directed at someone like me. As I said before,I'm not going to get too angry over the caricature of President Obama and Hillary Clinton. As long as the manga is going after a specific person and not attacking America per se,it's not going to get my dander up. Although the Japanese guy grabbing Mrs. Clinton's breasts may seem a little unnecessary, this is an erotic manga. Stuff like that happens. It may be in incredibly poor taste but that's all that is. It's dumb,it's stupid, but they have the perfect right to do that. I'm not going to waste too much time on it.

I'm going to sound weird, but I actually like these drawings.

But that whole Hitler-thing makes me thing about that (fabulous, by the way) manga, called "Afterschool charisma", which basically takes historically important people and turn them into manga characters. And Hitler's in it. And he's just a pure shota. I admit it, in this manga, like the majority of the [few] fans, he's my favorite character. Yes, Japan took Hitler and made him into an adorable manga character. And I'm not offensed. At all.

I really like these drawings guys.

Yup, it was only in the dub, and it was just "Great, what is it? -_- Another jew?"

And as far as I remember, this is the only jew ""joke"" present in APH.

Wow. Too many emotions for this one.

As an artist I find this really cleaver in a darkly humorous sort of way. I find it a little funny they reference Hitler's early life as an artist. Totally irked at that's how they depict Sadam and Castro. What, no Idi Amin? And finally, my initial and overall reaction:

I think they are brilliant. I am reminded of this poem:

Yevgeny Yevtushenko wrote:
Humor

Tsars, Kings, Emperors,
sovereigns of all the earth,
have commanded many a parade,
but they could not command humor.
When Aesop, the tramp, came visiting
the palaces of eminent personages
ensconced in sleek comfort all day,
they struck him as paupers.
In houses, where hypocrites have
left the smear of their puny feet,
there Hodja-Nasr-ed-Din, with his jests,
swept clean all meanness
like a board of chessmen!
They tried to commission humor-
but humor is not to be bought!
They tried to murder humor,
but humor thumbed his nose at them!
It’s hard to fight humor.
They executed him time and again.
His hacked-off head
was stuck on the point of a pike.
But as soon as the mummer’s pipes
began their quipping tale,
humor defiantly cried:
'I’m back, I’m here! ',
and started to foot a dance.
in an overcoat, shabby and short,
with eyes cast down and a mask of repentance,
he, a political criminal,
now under arrest, walked to his execution.
He appeared to submit in every way,
accepting the life-beyond,
but of a sudden he wriggled out of his coat,
and, waving his hand, did a bolt.
Humor was shoved into cells,
but much good that did.
Humor went straight through
prison bars and walls of stone.
Coughing from the lungs
like any man in the ranks,
he marched singing a popular ditty,
rifle in hand upon the Winter Palace.
He’s accustomed to frowning looks,
but they do him no harm;
and humor at times with humor
glances at himself.
He’s everpresent. Nimble and quick,
he’ll slip through anything, through everyone.
So- glory be to humor.
He- is a valiant man.

Translated by George Reavey

Dictators are repulsive and pompous. We ought to mock them, pillory them, belittle them and ridicule them at every opportunity. As the poem points out, laughter is one thing they cannot control. Depicting them as moe girls is sensational. Even if the artists didn't intend the pictures as satirical, the effect is still hilarious.

Don't give dictators the respect they don't deserve.

Precisely the point I made just a page back with the Mel Brooks quote, but I suppose nobody ever listens to the new guy. I can certainly see why people would get up in arms over the book, but their outrage only serves to give legitimacy to what those despots stood for. Filth like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Kim Il-sung, Saddam Hussein, Rafael Trujillo, and Pol Pot don't deserve our fear, only our mockery.

However, as I mentioned previously, tarring benign figures like Josip Broz Tito, Juan Peron, and Kemal Ataturk with the same brush as the actual scum doesn't sit right with me. The inclusion of Engelbert Dollfuss alongside Adolf Hitler is particularly galling, as Dollfuss despised Hitler and was assassinated by Austrian Nazi agents for his trouble. Likewise, there are a few other figures in the book, like Jozef Pilsudski and Getulio Vargas, whose historical legacies are overall far more benign than those of the truly depraved individuals they're now forced to keep company with.
