International co-productions are good, but can't someone do something that isn't post-apocalyptic for once?

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The only thing really separating this from a normal production is the studio, and it has an undeniably western-quasi-anime feel, but I don't feel that the action is fluid enough to support what the series is trying to accomplish.

I love these projects. It really tell us that Anime has become global and will continue to grow with time. This needs more support.

As Kyokun said, this has a westernized-anime feel to it but I guess that's normal considering who's behind the wheel. The animation and the angles taken, character design and color palette chosen, do not appeal to me.
I am also not a big fan of american voice acting in cartoons/animation, but the fight sequences and music was probably the best take on this. Not saying there aren't any good american cartoons with great voicing I enjoyed through the years (Batman the animated series, JLA, Scooby-Doo, Courage, Real Monsters, Avatar, even the recent Voltron is good, etc.), but clearly the japanese seiyuus when it comes to anime have a more impact/present tone, which allows us to better understand the feelings of the character they're portraying. Still, wish the studio and project the best, but by the mean time this is a no for me. Anime is growing alright, and that's good, I hope. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |

I'm not understanding. From the clip along, this is good voice acting. There's honestly nothing wrong with it. Is it that you're more used to hearing Japanese? Japanese voice acting is completely different from western voice acting because western tends to be more realistic. I've taken acting school, and it has been that way for over a century. |

I believe you, and it's more to what I'm used to for certain. When it comes to anime, I do always prefer to listen in the original voicing, at least for me, it sounds with more depth than western voicing. But following your words, then I would say it all comes down to the script perhaps, sometimes it feels short, a little empty, and almost like it was too over-worked and doesn't strike its purpose (Hope I'm not being confusing to what I'm trying to get through.). And you're right, western tends to be more realistic (and simple?) to the contrary of the Japanese, that are usually more metaphorical/allegorical. I did not study acting nor did I study screenwriting/film studies, but I do love to read and write as well to draw (not that this last one has any meaning here, but arts, literature and music have always driven me.). Let me be clear that I'm not an english native speaker, but I do love the english (though I'm no expert in it) and the japanese language (though also, I can only speak some sentences since I haven't tried to learn it, yet. (lol)). My reasoning comes only from both creative forms, and I do like how japanese tend to think/be more philosophical, at least from my perspective. Sorry if wrote too much and sounded too confusing to be understood.
