I was worried that the manga art style couldn't shine through in cg, but it looks like they nailed it. We'll find out later today if they're up to the task.

This visual is from right near the end of the manga, so it looks like this is going to be a full adaptation.

I don't know, I used to be excited for this anime but after finishing the manga and getting the weirdest ending of all time, I don't know. I wish I knew what was up with the manga going down hill after a certain point but..whatever..

I'm hoping this is a mixture of 2d animation and CG. Anytime studios attempt to do all CG series, it comes off looking awkward.

Unless Mappa has done full CG series before (which I don't believe I have), its safe to assume it'll be predominantly 2D. The CG was likely going to just be used in the robot stuff as indicated in the teaser.

Yeah it may of been that animating the robot transforming wasn't feasible in 2D.
