This seems very promising for the series, especially for the anime adaptations to come. If we can expect a pattern like the Kyoto Impure King arc, the Illuminati arc would be adapted into anime the year after the play begins, so possibly end of 2018 / early 2019 with news coming as early as summer of 2018.

So it could be made as a movie?

Sorry, by adaptation, I mean an anime series, like anywhere from 12 to 24 episodes, depending on how detailed / dragged out they plan to adapt the arc. There's also the little part on the Seven Mysteries of True Cross Academy and the foreshadowing of the Illuminati prior to the Illuminati arc that they'd need to cover in the anime to make it make sense from where the Kyoto Impure King anime left off imo.

But I do feel movies could be a possibility too, more so for catching up, now that we've reached the 3rd / 4th arc of the series and people may not be as inclined to watch through all 37 (technically 24ish excluding the anime-only arc from the first season) episodes to catch up. This is kinda all new territory for Blue Exorcist.
