As convenient as these devices may be over software emulators, the encumbrance of actually obtaining one levels the playing field between the two at the very least.

I actually seemingly had one in my Best Buy cart last night, but as soon as I could blink it was listed as "no longer available." So much for that. Razz

That's a great selection of games. However, I already have plenty of video game consoles, so I'll pass on this one.

I like how the promo for the North American release of this new version of the classic console has a very 90s vibe to it. I remember how commercials in my decade used to look.

Extremely jealous that japan is getting Fire Emblem. The US has been gypped so many times with Fire Emblem games that never made it to the states.

Don't forget Panel De Pon—while the reskinned versions of it (Tetris Attack and Pokémon Puzzle League) did debut in the U.S., the actual title never saw the light of day outside of Japan.

I'm hoping one of the new features is "availability."

To be fair many of those games did not age well, the only one you can really say we were legit screwed on was Mystery Of The Emblem.

See my first post. I'm pretty embittered by how they treated this last time, so I don't have any expectation that they'll do any better this time around.

Sadly, your fears have become reality, as the scalpers have once again reigned terror on the SNES Classic...which is made even worse with GameStop jumping into the scalping ring.

I'm really upset about that as the SNES was my first console.. Nintendo has a serious moneymaker but refuses to have open availability. Defies all logic.
