posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

Shueisha's free online manga magazine Shonen Jump+ launched the manga adaptation of Sawako Hirabayashi's Kuroko no Basuke -Replace- novel series on Tuesday. Ichirō Takahashi (Volleyball Tsukai Gōda Gō) is drawing the manga, which is titled Kuroko no Basuke Replace PLUS. The first chapter is now available to read. Shueisha will publish the second chapter on February 24.

The novels tell the story of the generation of miracles' middle school years, and compile other short stories.

Hirabayashi (Wolf Girl & Black Prince series composition) writes the novel series and Kuroko no Basuke original manga artist Tadatoshi Fujimaki illustrates the novels. Shueisha published the first novel volume in March 2011 and the fifth and most recent volume in May 2014.

The novel series has more than 1.9 million copies in circulation, and ranked among the top ten best-selling light novels in Japan for 2013 and 2014.
