'Just Because!' Original TV Anime Premieres October 5

The staff of the Just Because! original anime project revealed on Friday that the anime will premiere on October 5 on AT-X (9:00 p.m.), Tokyo MX (11:30 p.m.), and TV Kanagawa (1:00 a.m., effectively October 6 morning). It will also premiere on October 6 on MBS (2:55 a.m., effectively October 7 morning), and on October 10 on BS Fuji (12:30 a.m., effectively October 11 morning).

The show's official website describes the story:

It is winter of their third year of high school, near the end of the second semester, when students have very little time in high school left. Everyone was just waiting for graduation.

Until he suddenly came home.

He was their classmate in middle school who had moved far away. He transferred in at a peculiar time, which reunited them. It was as if a go signal rang out to the feelings of the students who had just thought to end their high school life without fanfare.

The cast includes:

Atsushi Kobayashi (Girls & Panzer storyboards, episode director) is directing the anime at PINE JAM, with Hajime Kamoshida (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou) as the scriptwriter and Kiseki Himura (Sword Art Online: Progressive manga, Tawawa on Monday) as the original character designer. Hiroyuki Yoshii (Tawawa on Monday) is adapting the character designs for animation. Singer-songwriter Nagi Yanagi (A Lull in the Sea, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, Bakemonogatari) is credited as music producer and is also performing the opening theme song, and Keisuke Fukunaga (Tawawa on Monday) is credited as producer. The main female cast members, consisting of Karin Isobe, Yuna Yoshino, and Lynn, will perform the ending theme song as their respective characters.
