Boruto Franchise Gets 4th Novel in November

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

This year's 41st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on September 11 that the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga and anime franchise is getting a fourth novel that will ship in November. The novel will be a novelization of the "school trip" arc.

The first novel in the series shipped on May 2, the second novel shipped on July 4, and the third novel (seen right) shipped on September 4. Kō Shigenobu (F.E.A.R., Tenka Ryōran RPGs) wrote the novels. Masashi Kishimoto, the original creator of the Naruto manga, is credited for the original work alongside Boruto manga artist Mikie Ikemoto and writer Ukyō Kodachi.

Kodachi and Ikemoto launched the Boruto manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in May 2016, based on and as a sequel to Kishimoto's Naruto manga. Boruto's titular main character is the protagonist of the Boruto -Naruto the Movie- anime film. The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations television anime series premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo on April 5. Viz Media is simulcasting the series on Hulu as it airs in Japan, with new episodes every Wednesday. Crunchyroll is also streaming the anime.
