Akiko Higashimura's Historical Yukibana no Tora Manga Resumes in January

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

This year's 49th issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine is revealing on Monday that Akiko Higashimura's (Princess Jellyfish, Kakukaku Shikajika, Tokyo Tarareba Girls) Yukibana no Tora manga will continue serialization in the magazine in January.

The final issue of Shogakukan's Hibana magazine had originally stated in August that the manga would move to the Monthly! Spirits magazine. Higashimura launched the manga in Hibana in its inaugural issue in March 2015. The manga is Higashimura's first historical manga, and tackles a theory that the historical figure Uesugi Kenshin was a woman.

Shogakukan will publish the manga's fifth compiled volume on November 10. Shogakukan is holding an exhibition for 11 works that were serialized in Hibana at the Makuhari Tsutaya bookstore in Chiba from November 10 through December 10.
