On the run for a much-needed job interview, rookie police officer Tamaki Hasegawa ends up late because she stops an assault on a man running for his life. That man, the prime minister's nephew, then asks her to be his bodyguard. 

While heading to an interview for a full-time job, Tamaki Hasegawa reacts to a man being chased by stepping in to save him. Impressed by her self-sacrifice, Kagetora Sugou pursues Tamaki to be his bodyguard. At first, she is put off by his demeanor but determined to earn money for her younger brother’s college tuition and prove herself as a good worker, she eventually accepts. To finalize their agreement, Kagetora steals her first kiss.
