Takarajimasha Inc. is shipping the 2012 edition of the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook on Saturday with its list of the top 10 light novel series:
- Sword Art Online
- Toaru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index)
- Ben-To
- Circlet Girl
- Baka to Test to Shōkanjū (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts)
- Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Haganai)
- Occultologic
- Haruhi Suzumiya
- Idolising!
- Iris on Rainy Days
All 10 light novel series on last year's list have been or will be adapted into anime: Toaru Majutsu no Index, Baka to Test to Shōkanjū (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts), Bungaku Shōjo, Seitokai no Ichizon, Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai (Oreimo), Durarara!!, Kami-sama no Memo-chō, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Ben-To, and Sword Art Online.
On the latest list, Circlet Girl, Occultologic, Idolising, and Iris on Rainy Days have no anime adaptations announced yet.
