Nagi Yanagi Performs Jormungand Anime's Ending Theme

posted on by Egan Loo
Anime's 1st season to premiere in April, with 2nd premiering in October

Singer Nagi Yanagi (Waiting in the Summer) will contribute her second single, "Ambivalentidea," as the ending theme for the Jormungand action anime series. The anime's staff had already revealed that Mami Kawada would perform the opening theme song.

The official website for the anime also revealed on Monday that while the first season will premiere in April, the second season will premiere in October. The website confirmed that the entire 11-volume story in Keitarō Takahashi's original manga will be animated. The manga revolved around a female arms dealer and her mercenary unit.

Keitaro Motonaga (Getbackers, Katanagatari, School Days) is directing the anime at the Studio White FOX. Mobile Suit Gundam 00's Yousuke Kuroda is overseeing and writing the series scripts, and Gurren Lagann's Taku Iwasaki is composing the music. Kazuhisa Nakamura, an animation director on Katanagatari and Steins;Gate, is designing the characters.

The action manga began in Shogakukan's Monthly Sunday GX magazine in 2006, and it ended in the February 2012 issue on January 19. Viz Media began releasing Jormungand in North America in 2009, and the company's English edition of the eighth compiled book shipped on January 10.
