Tamayura - More Aggressive to premiere in July

The "Tamayura Shinkyū Event" (Tamayura Promotion Event) on Sunday revealed the official title, a new character, and the opening and ending theme song performers for the second season of the Tamayura anime. The new season will be titled Tamayura - More Aggressive.

The first television season and earlier video series follow a girl named Fū Sawatari (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu) after she moves to Takehara, a waterside town that was her late father's childhood home near the Seto Inland Sea. Tamayura is the latest "healing" anime from director Junichi Satō (Prétear, Princess Tutu, Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~, Aria).

Maaya Sakamoto returns from the first season to sing an opening theme song with music and lyrics by Taeko Onuki. Megumi Nakajima also returns for an ending theme by Ami Ozaki.

Ai Kayano will play the new character Kanae Mitani (pictured above and right), a Takehara girl who goes to the same high school as Fū. Like Fū, her hobby is photography, and she uses the Pentax Q camera. She tends to overthink things and ends up unable to take action.

Tamayura - More Aggressive will premiere this July. There will be a "Happy Kuji" random-drawing campaign for figures and other prizes at the end of July, and a Tamayura Day 2013 event will be held on November 2 and 3 in Takehara in real life.
