Girls & Panzer Gets Hugging Pillow … of an Armor-Piercing Shell (Updated)

The military girls anime series Girls und Panzer is getting its own hugging pillow, in the form of a 1/1-scale 7.5cm KwK 37 tank round. The ammo is the same used by character Yukari Akiyama's Anglerfish team's Panzer IV tank.

The pillow was created by Dakimakura (hugging pillow) Circle Gewalt and will be sold exclusively at the Girls und Panzer "Sailor Fuku to Senshadō" dōjinshi event at the Oarai Cultural Center in Ibaraki Prefecture on May 4. (The anime itself takes place in the seaside town of Oarai, and utilizes many actual landmarks and locations as a setting for the story.) Each pillow retails for 3,000 yen (about US$31) and includes a box and bonus dōjinshi by the following artists: BLADE, bolze., huke, JiJi, Atsuto Shinozuka, Charlie Nishinaka, Ototsugu Konoe, Rei Hiroe, Jūsensha Kōbō, Asanagi, Miwamiwa, Eichi Mudō, and Takeshi Nogami, and more.
