Kill la Kill Anime's 5 Antagonists Revealed

The August issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine is revealing the antagonists of Hiroyuki Imaishi and Trigger's battle action anime Kill la Kill on Wednesday. The characters are listed from left to right in the above image.

• Honnōji Academy student council president – Satsuki Kiryūin
• Culture Club control committee chair – Nonon Jakuzure
• Intelligence Strategy Club committee chair – Hōka Inumuta
• Public Morals Club committee chair – Ira Gamagōri
• Exercise Club control committee chair – Yamauzu Sanage

Trigger's first original television anime reunites Imaishi (Dead Leaves, Gurren Lagann, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt) with head writer Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Nodame Cantabile: Finale, Re: Cutie Honey). In addition, acclaimed animator Sushio (animation director on Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, character designer on Engage Planet Kiss Dum) is designing the characters.

The story is set at a high school that the student council president Satsuki Kiryūin rules by force. Ryūko Matoi, a transfer student wielding a giant Basami scissors sword, brings about upheaval on the campus.

The anime will premiere on Japanese television in October.
