Tatara Waltzes Into Ensemble Stars Mobile Game for Limited Campaign

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The characters of Production I.G's Welcome to the Ballroom anime are sweeping across the idol stage for a special collaboration with the Ensemble Stars! mobile game. The game will launch the collaboration with an original story by one of the game's scenario writers, Akira, on August 14.

The story has characters Marisa Hyodo (Welcome to the Ballroom) and Eichi Tenshōin (Ensemble Stars!) meet and the latter asks her to give a ballroom dance lecture for his idol group "fine." While waiting outside the main gate of Yumenosaki Academy for Tori Himemiya and Yuzuru Fushimi, the player sees a figure of a boy at the reception the desk.

Players will get a Tatara card simply for logging in during the campaign's run. Players can also retweet about the collaboration on Twitter to be entered for a chance to win autographs from the anime's three male leads.

Welcome to the Ballroom is streaming on Amazon's Anime Strike as it airs in Japan. The anime follows feckless high school student Tatara Fujita as he enters the world of ballroom dancing with no prior experience, just an attraction to other dance Shizuka and the ability to mimic who he watches.

Happy Elements K.K's Ensemble Stars! original "idol-training produce game" takes place at a private boys' idol-training school with a history of turning out many great talents in show business. The protagonist is the school's lone female student who transfers to the school because of a special situation, and enters the school's producer department. Novelist Akira (Sasami-san@Ganbaranai) wrote the original scenario for the game. The game features eight different idol units and has a cast of more than 30 male voice actors.

A television anime was planned to premiere this year, but the staff have postponed it due to "various circumstances."
