German plush toy company Steiff is collaborating with One Piece to release a special Tony Tony Chopper-inspired teddy bear. The release is limited to 1,500 bears.

The Chopper bear features Steiff's trademark "button in ear," the character's name on the bear's foot with a winter-blooming cherry blossom flower, and the pink hat and blue nose of the Straw Hat Pirates' doctor. The bear costs 43,200 yen (about US$400), and the Bandai Premium website began accepting pre-orders on Thursday. The bear is slated to ship in February.

Margarete Steiff founded the toy company in 1880, and it produced the world's first teddy bear in 1902. Steiff is known for its high-end bears. Other characters Steiff has released as plush include Kuroshitsuji: Book of the Atlantic's Ciel, Totoro, Pikachu, Yotsuba&!'s Juralumin, Hatsune Miku, Hello Kitty, and Godzilla.
