Gintama. is Most Anticipated Anime of Fall 2017

The Charapedia website announced the results last Thursday of its poll asking readers which anime they are most anticipating for the Fall 2017 season. New seasons and sequels of beloved television anime dominated the results.

The newest installment of the mega-popular anime Gintama. came out on top in the poll. The series is returning on TV Tokyo in October with a "Porori Arc." The second season of the "high tension comedy" Mr. Osomatsu ranked at #2, followed by the Blood Blockade Battlefront sequel Kekkai Sensen & Beyond at #3.

Charapedia conducted the poll between August 24 and September 6. Respondents chose their most anticipated anime from a list of 47 works. Among respondents, 42.8% identified as male, and 57.2% identified as female. Participants in their 10s and 20s made up 66.1% of respondents, and people in their 30s and above made up 33.9% of respondents.

Also worth noting is the poll includes Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin. That series has been pushed back until Spring 2018.

Charapedia readers chose NEW GAME!! as their most anticipated anime of Summer 2017, while Anime News Network readers were most looking forward to Welcome to the Ballroom. Both Charapedia and ANN readers were anticipating the second season of Attack on Titan most for Spring 2017.
