Fate/Grand Order Artist Leaves Twitter, Pixiv After Copying Complaints

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Some anime and games are notorious for having characters with the same face. Fans are often forgiving, but sometimes they refuse to let repetitive art slide. An apparent example of the latter case resulted in Fate/Grand Order artist Aotsuki Takao recently deleting his accounts on Twitter and art webstie pixiv.

Takao illustrated Boudica and Parvati for the smartphone game. Parvati debuted in the game as part of a campaign this month, and fans were quick to point out her similarities to Boudica. The characters' faces are so similar that fans believe Takao traced the previous character to make the new one.

Apparently, fans were especially vocal online about their criticisms of the alleged copying. People believe that Takao deleted his Twitter and pixiv accounts due to the harassment over Boudica and Parvati. However, Takao seems to have issued no official statement on the matter.

Retailer Animate's Fate Halloween campaign is offering special illustration cards from October 31 to November 26. Sanrio collaboration goods for the game will debut in November. The Fate/Grand Order VR feat. Mash Kyrielight PlayStation VR game will launch on December 6.
