Live-Action Fullmetal Alchemist's Poster is Missing a Certain... Fullmetal Alchemist

A new version of a visual for the live-action film of Hiromu Arakawa's Fullmetal Alchemist manga recently debuted online. Fans of the franchise may notice that a certain key character is missing:
Protagonist Edward Elric, also known as the Fullmetal Alchemist, is absent from the new poster visual. Ryōsuke Yamada (Hey! Say! JUMP member and live-action Assassination Classroom's Nagisa) plays Ed in the film. Yamada is affiliated with the Johnny's agency, and the agency has a no-photo rule. The rule prohibits other parties from using photographs of talent online. Therefore, certain online visuals for the upcoming film have to remove Yamada.

Unsurprisingly, many fans think the agency's insistence to exclude the film's titular character from the poster is absurd. One fan and Twitter user created a solution:
Another Twitter user posted an image of what magazine covers would look like without stars connected to Johnny's. Incidentally, the shadow people in the rendition resemble the character Truth, who appears at the Gate of Alchemy in Fullmetal Alchemist.
The film opened the Tokyo International Film Festival on October 25 for its world premiere. The film will have IMAX and 4DX screenings in Japan, and will open on about 400 screens in Japan on December 1.
Anime NYC will screen the film's United States premiere as its closing film on November 19. Director Fumihiko Sori will attend the screening.
The film's website revealed last week that the film will open in over 190 countries around the world, including in the United States and Europe. According to the website, it will be the widest international opening for any Japanese film — live-action or animated.
