One Piece's Jinbe Calls the Sea in New Figure

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

The "Knight of the Sea" owns up to his title in a new figure from MegaHouse's Portrait of Pirates (P.O.P) line. The 1/8-scale figure shows the whale shark fishman and Sun Pirates captain in a battle pose, seeming to beckon his foe to make a move.

Underneath his foot, water crashes upward as if he just stomped down in a puddle. His cape billows behind him like it is caught in a rough breeze. The entire piece creates the image of a fight about to go down during a maelstrom.

Pre-orders open on November 2 for 19,980 yen (US$175). Orders are expected to ship in March.

MegaHouse's Portrait of Pirate line is dedicated to recreating the colorful cast from One Piece. Previous figures include Luffy in his Gear 4 form, its continuing sub-line of swimsuit figures, and gender-swapped versions of Trafalgar Law and Luffy.
