Animator Claims Anime Studio Production IMS is Not Paying

In a now deleted Tweet, animator Teru Miyazaki (key animation for Gekijōban Tantei Opera Milky Holmes: Gyakushū no Milky Holmes, Eiga Yo-kai Watch: Enma Daioh to Itsutsu no Monogatari da Nyan!, il sole penetra le illusioni ~ Day Break Illusion) claimed on Monday that a certain anime studio is currently not paying animators. The Tweet suggested that the anime studio in question was Production IMS, and he advised his fellow animators to only apply for work with the studio if they are willing to work for free. Miyazaki was apparently referring to someone other than himself not receiving payment.
Production IMS is producing the television anime adaptation (seen right) of Haruto Hino's Takunomi. (Drinking at Home) four-panel manga, which will premiere on January 12. The studio has also produced anime such as Date A Live II, Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia, High School Fleet, Active Raid, The Testament of Sister New Devil, and Inari Kon Kon.
Production IMS received a Studio Award in Newtype Anime Awards 2015-2016.
