Dragonball not dead after all!

posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Variety reports that the project is alive and well

Last week we reported that Fox had informed IGN Filmforce they weren't going to be making a live action DBZ movie. Our article was based on an IGN Filmforce report that was in fact a copy of a KyleHebert.com article that was several months old.

Yesterday, Variety reported that Hollywood screenwriter Ben Ramsey has a half-million-dollar deal with 20th Century Fox to do the Dragon Ball Z adaptation.

According to Variety, the project is being overseen by Peter Kang, Fox's VP of production. Ben Ramsey penned the script for The Big Hit and Marvel's upcoming big screen adaptation of Luke Cage.

Kang's office confirmed to Anime News Network that the movie is a Fox project. They informed us that there is currently no projected release date.
