Popular Picture Book to be Animated
Lily Franky's famous picture book, "Odenkun", will be animated for airing on NTV as of April.
Oden-kun was first published in Japan by Shogakukan.
Oden is a popular Japanese hotpot dish that includes radishes, eggs and other foods boiled in a kelp-base broth. Characters in the manga include titular character Oden-kun, Tamago-chan (egg girl), Daikon-sensei (radish sensei) and other characters of "good taste."
Cast will include Manami Honjō as Oden-kun, Chiemi Chiba as Tamago-chan and Jouji Yanami as Daikon-sensei.
