Candy Boy Net Anime to Continue Online with 7 Episodes

The official website of the Candy Boy original net animation has announced that more episodes have been greenlit for production. The site plans to release all seven episodes in this "Anime 2.0" series online. The Nico Nico Douga online video service streamed the first episode of the romantic school comedy on November 22, two weeks before the Dreamusic label released a DVD in a set with a CD single by the Korean artist Meilin. The story centers on twin sisters, Kanade and Yukino Sakurai, and a scheming rich freshman in their Tokyo high school named Sakuya Kamiyama.
Happy Lesson OAV director Takafumi Hoshikawa and character designer Takashi Habe worked with AIC on this project. Hitomi Nabatame (School Rumble's Mikoto, Maburaho's Yuuna) and Ryōka Yuzuki (Chobits' Takako, Air's Minagi) star as the twins, and Emiri Katō (Lucky Star's Kagami, Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z's Momoko/Hyper Blossom) plays Sakuya.
