Iron Man, Wolverine in Marvel, Madhouse's 1st TV Anime (Updated)

Update: The American comic book publisher Marvel Entertainment has issued a press release on its four-series collaboration with the Japanese animation company Madhouse, and the release confirms that the first series will premiere in Japan in Spring of 2010 with the characters Iron Man and Wolverine. Sony Pictures' Animax premium anime channel will run the first series. Each series will have 12 30-minute episodes and work to establish "in essence a whole new character base for Marvel."
Not coincidentally, there will be an X-Men Origins: Wolverine film scheduled in America for May of 2009 and an Iron Man film sequel scheduled for April of 2010. (Sony Pictures will premiere the first Iron Man film, pictured at right, in Japan on September 27.) A separate Wolverine and the X-Men animated television series is debuting today in Latin America and later in Canada and the United States.
