3x3 Eyes creator Yuzo Takada also completes Little Jumper

The final installments of Yuki Urushibara's Mushi-Shi manga and Mika Kajiyama and Kairi Yura's Neo Angelique manga have been published in Japan. After nine years, Kodansha's Afternoon magazine ended Mushi-shi in its October issue on Monday. The acclaimed story follows a mushi-shi, an investigator of mysterious supernatural creatures known as "mushi" (bugs). At least 10 volumes will be compiled and printed in Japan. Del Rey will publish the fifth volume of the manga this week in North America. The original manga was adapted into both a television anime series by Hiroshi Nagahama and Artland, and a live-action film by Katsuhiro Ōtomo (Akira, Steamboy). Funimation released the anime version in North America. The current Afternoon issue also has the end of the Little Jumper manga by Yuzo Takada (3x3 Eyes, Blue Seed, Cat Girl Nuku Nuku).

Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Asuka magazine has ended its 30-month run of the Neo Angelique manga in its October issue, which went on sale on August 23. The manga adapts one of the newest titles from KOEI's Neo Romance line of romance simulation games for female players. The titular heroine Angelique holds the key to the survival of a land plagued by demonlike creatures. Shin Katagai and Yumeta Company animated the story on television under the title Neo Angelique Abyss this past spring, and a Neo Angelique Abyss -Second Age- sequel began last month.
