Denpa teki na Kanojo Light Novels Get Anime

Novels with crossovers with Kure-nai series from same author, artist

The October issue (on sale on September 4) of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine will announce that an anime adaptation of Kentarō Katayama's Denpa teki na Kanojo light novels is in the works. (The Amazon online store began shipping copies of this Jump Square issue early.) Katayama also wrote the light novels that inspired the Kure-nai manga and anime series. Yamato Yamamoto drew the original novel illustrations for both Denpa teki na Kanojo and Kure-nai, and there are character crossovers between the two series. The editor-in-chief of Denpa teki na Kanojo's Super Dash Bunko imprint had hinted earlier that there would be news about this series in Jump Square's October issue.

The story centers on a belligerent delinquent named Jū Jūzawa and a strange girl named Ame Ochibana who suddenly vows complete loyalty to him. "Denpa teki na Kanojo" or literally, "Electromagnetic Girlfriend," refers to the denpa-kei sub-genre of stories imply that bizarre behaviors are caused by electromagnetic waves.
