Ueki's Fukuchi Launches Takkoku!!! Ping Pong Manga Series

Tsubasa Fukuchi, the manga creator best known for The Law of Ueki, has launched a new ping pong manga series called Takkoku!!! in the April issue of Shogakukan's monthly Shonen Sunday Super Zōkan spinoff magazine on Wednesday. The Club Sunday website has posted the new manga's first chapter online. The manga originated as a one-shot short story in Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in February 2008. Viz Media published the 16th volume of The Law of Ueki manga in North America last month.
Takkoku!!! is one of nine new series that Shonen Sunday Super Zōkan is launching this month as part of its major revamp. The other new titles are Akina from Marine Hunter's Shirō Ōtsuka, Mahō Gyōshōnin Roma (Magic Peddler Roma) from Toshihiko Kurazono, Mirai no Football (Future Football) from Eko Yamatoya, Chōdokyū Shōjo 4946 (Superdreadnought Girl 4946) from Takeshi Azuma, Ping Pong Rush from Iron Feather's Aiko Koyama, Undead from Hihō no Shima Kattō's Masashi Terajima, Samurai High School from Hiro Kashiwaba, and Shōgaku ni Nyansei (Nyansei in Elementary School) from Fujiminosuke Yorozuya.
