Avex, Docomo to Run New Anime on Japanese Mobile Phones

Azabu Jū-ban Gakuen, Shiawase no Hitoji, Suzu-3-tarō series of shorts

The mobile phone service provider NTT Docomo has announced the launch of BeeTV, a television channel for mobile phones, on April 1. BeeTV will be run by Avex Tsūshin Hōsō, a joint venture of the music/media production company avex entertainment and NTT Docomo. The channel will transmit three series of anime shorts: Azabu Jū-ban Gakuen (pictured at right), Shiawase no Hitsuji, and Suzu-3-tarō.

Azabu Jū-ban Gakuen will launch in May as a series of 36 one-minute episodes that updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Shiawase no Hitsuji series of 100 five-minute episodes will premiere new episodes every day starting in May. Suzu-3-tarō's 24 two-minute episodes will begin running in June with new episodes every Monday and Thursday.
