Do As Infinity to Play Inuyasha: The Final Act's Opening (Update 2)

posted on by Egan Loo
AAA to play ending for 2nd TV anime based on Rumiko Takahashi's manga; show to debut on Oct. 3

An advertisement for the upcoming InuYasha: The Final Act anime series has confirmed that the pop music group Do as Infinity will perform the anime's opening theme song. InuYasha: The Final Act continues beyond where the first anime series ended and adapts the story from the final 21 compiled book volumes of Rumiko Takahashi's original manga. Do as Infinity's members just announced last year that they are reuniting after nine years apart. Do as Infinity performed the "Fukai Mori" and "Shinjitsu no Uta" ending theme songs for the first Inuyasha television anime series. InuYasha: The Final Act will debut in Tokyo's Kanto area late night on Saturday, October 3.

The North American distributor Viz Media announced at Comic-Con International in July that it acquired the rights to InuYasha: The Final Act.

Update: The "super entertainment group" AAA will perform the new anime's ending theme song. AAA performed the "Blood on Fire" theme in the live-action Initial D: The Movie and played at Otakon 2007.

Update 2: Do as Infinity had only been disbanded for three years; they reunited last year on the ninth anniversary of their founding. Thanks, joystick1101.
