You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle, 2nd Neo Angelique, others to ship in March

The North American anime distributor Section23 Films has announced on Tuesday that Sentai Filmworks licensed the You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle, Yozakura Quartet, and Tayutama - Kiss on My Deity anime series. Section23 will ship the first DVD collection for You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle — the third television series based on Kosuke Fujishima's You're Under Arrest police comedy manga — on March 9. The complete DVD sets for Yozakura Quartet and Tayutama - Kiss on My Deity- will ship on March 2 and March 16, respectively.

The 2007-2008 You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle anime picked up where the first You're Under Arrest televsion series (1996-1997) and You're Under Arrest Second Season (2001) left off. All three series follow the exploits of Natsumi and Miyuki, two policewomen at Bokuto Police Station. Miyuki is now fresh from forensics training in the United States, and Natsumi Tsujimoto returns from completing Japanese Self-Defense Force (JSDF) ranger training. Kōichi Ōhata directed the animators at Studio DEEN with series script supervisor Natsuko Takahashi and character designer Atsuko Nakajima. Dark Horse Comics published the original manga, while AnimEigo, ADV Films, and Sentai Filmworks have released the various anime projects that preceded Full Throttle.

The Yozakura Quartet anime adapts Suzuhito Yasuda's "superteen" manga of the same name. The story revolves around a quartet of teenaged heroes: a super-strong girl named Hime, a mind-reading girl named Ao, a half-human conjurer girl named Kotoha — and a seemingly ordinary boy named Akina who can banish spirits. The three girls and Akina protect the town of Sakurashin from supernatural threats. The studio Nomad animated the 2008 production with director Kou Matsuo. Del Rey Manga published the fifth volume of the original manga in North America in October.

The production company Media Factory and director Keitaro Motonaga just adapted Lump of Sugar's Tayutama adult personal computer game into a televsion series from April to June of this year. At the Yachimata shrine, there is a legend of deities named "Tayutai" who protected the area, but they have been lost in time. Yūri Mito, the only son of the man who runs the shrine, discovers a relic on the school grounds with mysterious patterns on them. Then, at the opening ceremony of the new school year, an equally mysterious girl named Mashiro appears before Mito. Mashiro is somehow tied to the relic and the legend of Tayutai.

Section23 has also announced that the DVD collection of the Neo Angelique Abyss anime's second season, Neo Angelique Abyss -Second Age-, will ship on March 30. The company will distribute Switchblade Pictures' live-action Buyusenki Battle Chronicle DVD on March 9 and Switchblade's live-action Cat Girl/Super Dimension Odyssey Tritia double feature on March 23.
