The World God Only Knows, J-Comi Events to Be Streamed

The Ustream website will stream the live debut event of the Kanon Nakagawa character from The World God Only Knows (Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai/Kaminomi) anime on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Tokyo (midnight EST). Kanon is the new idol singer who goes to the same high school as the anime's main character Keima.
Kanon's voice actress Nao Tōyama will perform the songs "Happy Crescent" and "Love Kanon" at the free "UDX Seiatsu! Ikku yō!" event, which the UDX Building in Tokyo's Akihabara district is hosting. The Character CD for Kanon Nakagawa (pictured at right) will ship on December 15, and her first album will ship on March 3, 2011.
Manga creator Ken Akamatsu (Negima! Magister Negi Magi, Love Hina) announced on Friday that he will be holding a press conference on Monday to discuss the results of the first week of beta testing for J-Comi, his manga distribution website. He added that Yui Horie, the voice of the main heroine Naru Narusegawa in the Love Hina anime, will appear at the press conference. Ustream will simulcast the press conference, and the official blog for J-Comi will provide more details about the simulcast.
J-Comi launched a beta test with free, advertising-supported downloads of the Love Hina manga last Friday. Over 1 million downloads were made in less than two days.
