Feng's Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi Game Gets TV Anime (Update 2)

posted on by Egan Loo
Anime of adult bishōjo game to premiere next April

A television anime adaptation of feng's adult bishōjo game Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi (A Bridge to the Starry Skies) has been green-lit for next April. The story of the October 2010 game revolves around Kazuma Hoshino, a boy whose family moves to a new town for the sake of his younger brother's health. Kazuma gets lost on his way to his new school, but he unexpectedly encounters a girl named Ui Nakatsugawa. Ui guides him, but when Kazuma trips, he accidentally bumps into Ui and kisses her. Plus, Ui's close friend Ibuki Hinata happens to see the accidental kiss. Kazuma eventually meets Madoka Kōmoto (the daughter of a priest at the local shrine), a third-year girl named Tsumugi Tōdō, and Tsumugi's spirited younger sister Koyori.

Takenori Mihara is directing the anime series at the studio Dogakobo (11eyes, Koihime†Musō, Myself; Yourself), and Go Zappa (Chocotto Sister, Koihime†Musō, Myself; Yourself) is supervising the scripts. In addition to overseeing the animation process, Haruo Ōgawara (Goshūshō-sama Ninomiya-kun, Tayutama - Kiss on My Deity-) is adapting the game's original character designs by Ryohka, Naturalton, Takahiro Tsurusaki, Satoru Arikawa, Akira Sawano, and Zouazarasi. Kōichi Monma (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts) is in charge of art direction with art designer Toshiko Kaizu (Asura Cryin', Mahō Sensei Negima!: Shiroki Tsubasa Ala Alba).

Marvelous Entertainment will host the website of the anime. Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi is the sixth main title from feng. The fifth title, Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka, was also adapted into anime in 2008.
