Negima/Hayate Film Double-Billing Offers Hayate Manga #99

The official website for the double-billing of the Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven Is a Place on Earth and the Mahō Sensei Negima! Anime Final films confirmed on Thursday that Japanese moviegoers who see the films will receive either the exclusive "99th volume" of the Hayate the Combat Butler manga or the "0th volume" of the Negima manga (pictured at right). The double feature will open in Japan on August 27.
Negima manga creator Ken Akamatsu reported on his Twitter account last month that the "0th volume" of the Negima manga will have an all-new 18-page side story to his original manga. It will also have production materials such as the anime storyboards he drew for the opening animation footage of the original anime DVD project.
The Negima film will tell another official version — "version B" or "another true ending" — of Akamatsu's final manga chapter.
Hayate the Combat Butler manga creator Kenjirō Hata created the original plot concept for Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven Is a Place on Earth.
