Haiyore! Nyaruko-san Novels Gets New TV Anime by Xebec

Manta Aisora's comedy about Cthulhu deity-turned-girl already inspired 2 Flash-anime series

A promotional advertisement for Manta Aisora's Haiyore! Nyaruko-san comedy light novel series has announced that a new television anime adaptation has been green-lit. Xebec will animate the new series.

The story of Haiyore! Nyaruko-san centers around Nyaruko, a formless Cthulhu deity of chaos (Nyarlathotep) who can take on the shape of a seemingly ordinary silver-haired girl. Mahiro Yasaka is a normal high school who is chased by aliens one night, until Nyaruko saves him.

Aisora launched the light novel series with illustrations by Koin (Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox) in 2009, and SoftBank Creative published the seventh volume this past April. The novels already inspired one video series and one television series of Flash-animated shorts by DLE Inc.
