Un-Go Anime's 2nd Promo Video Streamed

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
15-second shorts featuring super-deformed characters will count down to October 13 premiere

The official website for Seiji Mizushima and Bones' upcoming anime Un-Go began streaming a second promotional video on Tuesday. Mizushima and Bones previously worked together on the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime series. The new video has clips of School Food Punishment's (Eden of the East, C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility) opening theme song and Lama's (No. 6) ending theme song.

Fuji TV will begin broadcasting a series of 15-second comedic shorts titled "Inga's Diary," which will feature the characters Shinjūrō Yūki (Ryo Katsuji) and Inga (Aki Toyosaki) in super-deformed style. The shorts will begin broadcast on October 5 as a countdown to the anime's premiere. The series' official website will stream the shorts after the anime premieres.

In the story of Un-Go, Shinjūrō Yūki and Inga work together to solve mysteries in a near future timeline. The story is based on the works of Ango Sakaguchi (Aoi Bungaku Series' "In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom"), a post-World War II Japanese novel and essayist. Shō Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost Slayers Ayashi, Martian Successor Nadesico) is writing the scripts, and pako (Scar-red Rider XechS) and Yun Kouga (Gundam 00, Loveless, Earthian) are handling the character designs.

The Un-Go anime will premiere on October 13 in Japan. An "Un-Go episode:0 Inga-ron" (Un-Go episode:0 Inga chapter) will not air on television, but will run in Japanese theaters for two weeks only. Anime on Demand will stream the series in the U.K., and Anime News Network will stream the series in Australia.
