Fate/Zero Box to Add New Extra Written by Type-Moon's Nasu

1st of 2 boxes to also have English subs & uncut original edition of episodes

The first Blu-ray Disc Box for the Fate/Zero television anime series will ship with a new bonus extra, written by Type-Moon's Kinoko Nasu, on March 7, 2012. It will also include Japanese and English subtitles. Newtype magazine had already revealed earlier this month that the box (the first of two) will have the "original edition" of the first 13 episodes with scenes cut from the television broadcast.

The five Blu-ray Discs will be in 16:9 high-definition widescreen format (1920 x 1080 progressive). The audio will be in Linear PCM (stereo), encoded at 48KHz in 24 bit.

Besides Nasu's bonus extra, the box will have a trailer collection (the first and second promotional videos), a television commercial collection (including the seven master/servant commercials and the BD box commercial), and the credit-less opening and ending animation sequences.

The box will also bundle the Fate/Zero Original Soundtracks Vol.1 CD composed by Yuki Kajiura, an original drama CD supervised by writer Gen Urobuchi, a box illustrated by original character designer Takashi Takeuchi, and a Fate/Zero Animation Material book. The book will have exclusive new interviews and animation production materials such as pencil drawings and art boards.

The suggested retail price of the first box will be 39,800 yen (about US$525).
