This week new manga, new anime funding, new title acquisitions and new distributors hitting our shores;

Yellow Tanabae (Kekkaishi) will be launching a new manga series soon. The news was announced in the 44th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine and the new series will be the Yellow Tanabae's first new series since 2011

Production I.G and Director Masaaki Yuasa (Kaiba, Mind Game, The Tatami Galaxy) are running a kickstarter to fund 10 minute short. The short in question is Kick-Heart, the story of Romeo and Juliet set in the world of professional wrestling. If the $150,000 goal is met for the initial short, a companion short will be created at $400,000 and if the project reaches a $1,000,000 the project will be turned into a feature film.

Madman Entertainment have acquired new season anime Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! and plans to screen the title on the Madman Screening Room in October. Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! (Regardless of My Adolescent Delusions of Grandeur, I Want a Date!) is based on the romantic comedy light novel by Torako and follows High School Freshman Yūta Togashi as he tries to put his self-important delusions from middle school behind him. However current classmate Rikka Takanashi discovers his past as a "Dark Flame Master" and pulls him into her own personal delusion. The series is produced by Kyoto Animation with direction by Tatsuya Ishiara (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) with character design by Kazumi Ikeda (K-ON).

And finally, New Australian anime distributor Hanabee's first two anime releases reached retail shelves on October 4th. Both Dream Eater Merry and Toradora! can be found in retailers around Australia. ANN|AU would like to say congrats to the team at Hanabee and we will have reviews of both titles online very soon.
