Bandai Visual's Japanese Blu-ray Disc and DVD release of Gekijō-ban Tiger & Bunny -The Beginning-, the first Tiger & Bunny film, will include both English and Japanese subtitles.

The anime film will be released in different versions ranging in price. The Amazon.com Exclusive SteelBook Blu-ray edition will include three discs in a SteelBook illustrated by original character designer Masakazu Katsura for 9,765 yen (about US$120). According to Amazon, this edition, the limited first edition Blu-ray, and the regular edition Blu-ray are region-free.

The limited-edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD release will come in a unique box illustrated by Katsura, and will include exclusive jacket art from character designer Kenji Hayama. Its extras disc will feature videos from the film's world premiere event, a "New Year's Gift Special" digest video, a digest video of an event in Hong Kong, and a "Road to Theater!" event digest video. The limited editions will also include a CD with an audio drama and cast discussions, a mini edition of the program offered at the film's theatrical screenings, a booklet, audio commentary, and other video extras (teasers, trailers, commercials, promotional videos, theater etiquette video, Weekly Hero Countdown, clean opening and ending animation sequences).

The regular edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD release will come with a booklet, audio commentary, and promo video extras.

Other retailers such as Family Mart, Animate, Tower Records, Tsutaya, and BVC will also be offering store-specific extras.

The home video release of the film goes on sale on February 22, 2013.
