Mondai-Ji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo? Novel to Bundle Original Anime BD

posted on by Egan Loo
Anime on bundled Blu-ray is separate for next January's fantasy comedy TV series

The eighth volume of Tarō Tatsunoko's Mondai-Ji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo? (Don't Problem Children Come From an Alternate World?) fantasy comedy light novel series will bundle an original anime Blu-ray Disc when it ships late next July. The anime on the Blu-ray will not be part of the television series version that will premiere next January.

The Blu-ray/novel bundle will also have a exclusive variant cover for the novel and a tall case for the Blu-ray. It will be limited only to the number of copies pre-ordered by retailers by May 7, 2013.

The light novels follow Izayoi Sakamaki (played by Shintarō Asanuma), a boy bored with the entire world. One day, an envelope arrives for him. The moment Izayoi opens the envelope, he is transported to an alternate world. There, he discovers that two other "problem children" were transported by envelopes as well — a taciturn girl named Yō Kasukabe (Megumi Nakajima) with a cat, and a beautiful yet haughty girl named Asuka Kudō (Sarah Emi Bridcutt). A girl named Kuro Usagi (Black Rabbit, played by Iori Nomizu) summoned the three to the community "No Name" to overthrow the devil.

Keizou Kusakawa (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series and films, Asura Cryin') will serve as chief director of the television anime, and Yasutaka Yamamoto (Squid Girl Season 2, Valkyria Chronicles) is serving as director at the studio diomedéa (Squid Girl, Campione!). Noboru Kimura (Amagami SS+, Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos) is in charge of the series scripts, and Naomi Ide (episode animation director for Astarotte's Toy, Squid Girl) is adapting Yū Amano's character illustrations for anime.
