Aoi Hana/Sweet Blue Flowers Yuri Manga to End in July

The 81st issue of Ohta Books' Manga Erotics F magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Takako Shimura is ending her yuri manga Aoi Hana (Sweet Blue Flowers) in the next issue on July 6.
The story begins with Fumi and Akira, two girls were close childhood friends until Fumi had to move away. Ten years after losing touch with each other, the two meet again as incoming students at a girls' high school. Both deal with the trials of high school, as well as love and friendship within the student body.
Shimura launched the manga in 2004, and Ohta Books published the seventh compiled book volume last December. The story inspired a television anime from director Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Kimikiss pure rouge, Nodame Cantabile) and J.C. Staff in 2009, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime into several countries as it aired in Japan.
Shimura created Wandering Son (Hourou Musuko), another ongoing manga that follows students dealing with identity and gender roles. Wandering Son also inspired a television anime, and Fantagraphics Books publishes this manga in North America.
