Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet Gets Sequel Green-Lit

The official Twitter account and website for the Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet anime series announced on Thursday that production on a sequel has been green-lit. More details will be added to the website in the future.
The announcement was also made in a commercial on the Tokyo MX TV station on Thursday evening. The commercial ran during the rerun of the anime, which started at 11:00 p.m.
Viz Media licensed the series and plans to release it on home video in North America next year.
