Cast from earlier drama CD to reprise roles for 2014 romantic comedy series

The wraparound jacket on the sixth volume of Ran's manga version of Shiki Mizuchi's Dragonar Academy (Seikoku no Dragonar) light novel series is revealing on Friday that the cast for the upcoming television anime adaptation will be the same as a previous drama CD for the series.

The cast for both is as follows:

Media Factory is streaming a preview of the drama CD, which shipped in Japan in October 2012.

The anime series will premiere in 2014.

Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga in North America starting in February 2014. The publisher describes the manga as follows:

Learning to ride and tame dragons comes easy to most students at Ansarivan Dragonar Academy—except for first-year student Ash Blake, who is known by his fellow classmates as the “number one problem child.” Poor Ash is the laughing stock at school because, despite his unfashionably large star-shaped brand that marks him as a future dragon master, he has nothing to show for it. His dragon has never appeared.

Until now, that is. One fateful day, Ash's dragon awakes in full glory, but appears different than any dragon ever seen before—in the form of a beautiful girl! What's worse, Ash soon discovers that this new dragon has attitude to spare, as she promptly informs him that she is the master, and he, the servant.

Ash's problems with dragon riding have only just begun.

Mizuchi launched the story as a light novel series in 2010, and Media Factory will publish the 14th volume on November 22. Ran has been drawing the manga adaptation in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine since last year.
