Namco Bandai Games began streaming the third five-minute promotional video for its J-Stars Victory Vs. "team battle action" video game on Tuesday. The video reveals two new additions to the character roster.

The narrator intones, "Hero vs. Hero. This has been the subject of fantasies and idle chatter among boys. These were once unrealized dreams … Dream battles that span generations, cross over titles, and exceed our imaginations."

The video then features some of those dream battles: Spirit Bomb vs. Tailed Beast Ball, Soul Slayer Sword vs. Reverse-Blade Sword, Gourmet Hunter vs. Hunter, pirate vs. Kabuki actor, teacher vs. student, alien vs. working stiff, child vs. child, Sasuke vs. Yūsuke, heroine vs. the Queen of Kabuki-chō, Sket vs. Basket, and bloodline vs. sweet tooth.

Finally, the video reveals that Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom and Neuro (as a support character) from Neuro - Supernatural Detective (Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro) are joining the roster.

The character roster in this Shonen Jump 45th anniversary game includes Toriko (Toriko), Luffy and Boa Hancock (One Piece), Goku (Dragon Ball Z), Naruto's title character, Rurouni Kenshin's Kenshin Himura, Gintama's Gintoki Sakata (with Kagura and Sadaharu), Ichigo (with Rukia) from Bleach, Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo's Kankichi Ryotsu, Hunter x Hunter's Gon Freecss, Yū Yū Hakusho's Yūsuke Urameshi, Tsunayoshi Sawada (with Reborn!) from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and Tatsumi Oga (with Beelzebub) from Beelzebub, Taro Yamada from Chinyūki -Tarō to Yukaina Nakama-tachi-, Medaka Kurokami (with Misogi Kumagawa) from Medaka Box, Chitoge Kirisaki from Nisekoi, Lala from To Love-Ru, Tetsuya Kuroko from Kuroko's Basketball, Jonathan Joestar and Joseph Joestar from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Meisuke "Nuubee" Nueno from Jigoku Sensei Nube, and Himeko, Bossun, and Switch from Sket Dance. The rival characters Sasuke (Naruto Shippūden), Vegeta (Dragon Ball), Zebra (Toriko), Jaguar (Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar), and Tarō (Chinyūki -Tarō to Yukaina Nakama-tachi-) are also joining the roster.

Hironobu Kageyama, Akira Kushida, and Hiroshi Kitadani are singing the game's theme song "Fighting Stars." A free augmented-reality (AR) app lets you see the Jump heroes in your surroundings on the PS Vita.

The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game will be released on March 19. A regular copy of the PS3 version will cost 7,980 yen (about US$80), while a limited edition will cost 10,980 yen (about US$110). The normal edition of the PS Vita version will cost 6,980 yen, while a limited edition copy will retail for 9,980 yen (about US$100).

People who pre-order the game will receive the J-Stars Victory Book, a volume bound like a Jump Comics book and filled with information and visuals of Jump heroes over the years. For a limited time, a "Ani-Son Sound Edition" of the game will let players listen to 21 television anime theme songs in the game.

Update: Namco Bandai Games has made the full video with the new characters private:

Update 2: Namco Bandai Games is streaming the video again, but without the sequence revealing the new characters. However, the new characters are also appearing in 2014's combined 4th/5th Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Saturday. Via kazu
