Loveless Manga to Resume This Fall With 2-3 More Volumes

posted on by Egan Loo
Yun Kouga had planned for only 5 volumes, before starting series that now has 12 volumes

The Loveless Fan Book shipped on Thursday with an interview with the manga's creator Yun Kouga. The interviewer noted that Kouga had planned the manga to be only five volumes long before she started the series, but the manga has already lasted 12 volumes so far. The interviewer then added that Kouga is planning two to three more volumes for the series. Kouga replied that although the manga has been on hiatus, she will resume the series this fall.

Kouga launched the manga in 2001, and Ichijinsha published the 12th volume of the manga last December. Tokyopop published the beginning of the manga in North America, and Viz Media picked up the license and has since published both individual and omnibus volumes. Viz describes the story:

When his beloved older brother is brutally murdered, Ritsuka is heartbroken but determined to search for answers. His only lead is Soubi, a mysterious, handsome college student who offers him an intimate link to his brother's other life: a dark and vibrant world of spell battles and secret names. Will Ritsuka's relationship with Soubi ultimately lead to the truth or further down the rabbit hole than he imagined possible?

Kouga has also been recently working on the story of the Riddle Story of Devil manga series (which inspired a recent anime) and the Satō-kun to Tanaka-san manga series.
