Horror/dark fantasy, cross-dressing comedy coming next June

Viz Media announced at its New York Comic Con panel on Thursday that it has licensed Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul and Gō Ikeyamada's So Cute It Hurts!! (Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai!!) manga series. The first volume of Tokyo Ghoul will ship on June 16 and the first volume of So Cute It Hurts!! will ship on June 2.

Ishida launched Tokyo Ghoul in Weekly Young Jump in 2011, and Shueisha will ship the 14th compiled volume on October 17. Funimation streamed the anime adaptation as it aired in Japan.

The suspense horror/dark fantasy story is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious "ghouls" who are devouring humans. People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. An ordinary college student named Kaneki encounters Rize, a girl who is an avid reader like him, at the café he frequents. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.

Ikeyamada began the manga in Shogakugan's Sho-Comimagazine in August 2012 and the 8th compiled volume will ship on October 24. The third and sixth manga volumes bundled with original anime DVDs.

The manga's story revolves around twin brother and sister Mitsuru and Megumu Kobayashi who switch places and attend the other sibling's school. Things get strange when Megumu realizes that the school that her popular brother Mitsuru had been going to was in fact a school for delinquents. When attacked by a group of bullies, she meets a mysterious boy with an eye patch.
