Media service Crunchyroll announced at its New York Comic Con panel on Friday that it will begin streaming the Case Closed (Detective Conan) television anime as it airs this fall. It will also stream the Fall anime Bonjour SweetLove Patisserie (Bonjour Koiaji Pâtisserie) and the live-action tokusatsu (special-effects) series Ultraman Max. The entire Ultraman Max series will begin streaming on October 14.

Since 1996, Case Closed (Detective Conan) has been adapting Gōshō Aoyama's manga of the same name about a brilliant teen detective trapped in a child's body. Funimation released the beginning of the television series on DVD in North America, and Viz Media publishes the original manga. Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block also ran part of the series.

The original mobile app game Bonjour Koiaji Pâtisserie follows Sayuri Haruno, a girl (voiced by Yui Ishikawa) who attends an elite confectionery school Fleurir on a scholarship to follow her dream to open a pastry shop. There she meets several charming young men, including those voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, Tetsuya Kakihara, Ryōhei Kimura, and Hikaru Midorikawa.

Utako Yukihiro (Uta no Prince Sama, Devils and Realist manga) designed the characters, and Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman., Persona 3 the Movie) is directing. The series will premiere on October 11 on NTV On Demand, Niconico, and Hulu. The game is itself still in development.

With Ultraman Max, Tsuburaya Productions "went back to the roots" of The Ultraman superhero franchise and offered the "fastest Ultraman ever." The television series ran from 2005 to 2006.

Crunchyroll scheduled the manga-based live-action television series Future Diary Another:World and Switch Girl!! to begin streaming on October 15. These two series were among the 21 live-action series from its partnership with Fuji TV.
